2 Hour Fire Rated Fiber Optic Cable

2 hour rated Fire Resistant 2

Fire Resistant Fiber Optic Cable (also called fire rated fiber optic cables) are central loose tube fire resistant cables. They are ideal & provides vital communication during a fire. And emergency systems that need to be operational during fire. Therefore Fire Resistant Fiber Optic Cable design ensures operation up to 120/180 min. under a fire. Perfect for critical systems where time period is required for system shutdown, data backup or for signaling. And for safety purposes. Outer sheath is Halogen Free Flame Retardant made of from red UV-stabilized. UV protection allow that cable to be used as Outdoor. Its structure is mainly composed of central loose tube. Then it is longitudinal covered with a layer of synthetic mica tape outside cable core. And outer sheath is extruded by UV-HFFR material.

OM1, OM3 and OM4 multi-mode and OS2 single-mode options are available, with 4, 8, 12 core fiber capacity. Then Corrugated steel tape armor provide a protection against rodents. And outer sheath is red also provides UV stability. So, G 657.A1 or G 657.A1 optical fiber options allow for micro-bending to tight bends or placing the cable under pressure without compromising performance levels. Also perfect solution to future proof installation.

Central loose tube fire resistant fiber optic cable range is fully compliant with fire resistant standards. So, IEC 60331-25 and flame retardant standards IEC 60332-2-3, guaranteeing the cables circuit integrity and performance in the event of a fire.

Fiber Core Options for fire rated fiber optic cables are available with the fiber core options: OM1, OM3 and OM4 & OM5 multi-mode and OS2 single-mode, in 4, 8, 12 and 24 core fiber configurations in central loose tube construction. All feature a corrugated steel tape armor to protect the cable from rodents and mechanical strikes, a central loose tube construction and universal (internal/external) LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath. The outer sheath is Red for easy identification and also provides UV stability.

Compliance – Fire Resistant Fiber Optic Cable
