CAT 7A SFTP

Cat7A S FTP
CAT 7A S FTP

CAT 7A SFTP Data Lan Structured Cables are produced according to ISO IEC 61156-5 and TIA 568-C.2 requirements, an excellent choice to support all Class F applications like Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet. Network cables are suitable for data installations up to 1200 MHz. Category 7A S FTP cable has an S/FTP construction with individual pair Al-Pet foil and an overall tinned copper wire braiding offering a superior performance.

CAT 7A SFTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) data LAN cable is a high-speed cable that is designed for use in Ethernet networks. It is made up of four pairs of twisted copper wires that are shielded with foil to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) and to provide better signal integrity. The “A” in CAT 7A indicates that it is a newer, more advanced version of the CAT 7 cable. CAT 7A SFTP cables are capable of transmitting data at speeds of up to 2 Gbps and can support frequencies of up to 1000 MHz, which makes them suitable for use in high-speed data networks, such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks. They are also backward compatible with CAT 6A and CAT 5e cables.

Construction – CAT 7A SFTP

CAT 7A SFTP data LAN cables are constructed with four pairs of twisted copper wires. Each pair is made up of two insulated wires that are twisted together to form a pair. These pairs are then wrapped in a foil shield to provide protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and to improve signal integrity. The foil shield is made of aluminum, and it is wrapped around each pair of wires to provide 360-degree coverage.

The cable itself is made of a durable, flexible material, such as PVC or LSOH, that can withstand the rigors of installation and use in a network environment. The cable is also designed to be highly flexible, making it easy to install in tight spaces or around corners. The connector used in CAT7A SFTP cables are typically RJ45, they are designed to be backwards compatible with previous versions of Ethernet cables.

Additionally, CAT 7A SFTP cables are tested and certified to meet strict industry standards, such as the TIA/EIA-568-C.2 standard, which ensures that they will perform as expected in real-world networks.

Application

CAT 7A SFTP data LAN cables are designed for use in a wide range of networking applications. Some of the most common applications include:

  • High-speed data networks: CAT 7A SFTP cables are capable of transmitting data at speeds of up to 2 Gbps, making them suitable for use in high-speed data networks such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks.
  • Server rooms and data centers: CAT 7A SFTP cables are ideal for use in server rooms and data centers where high-speed data transfer and low electromagnetic interference (EMI) is critical.
  • Industrial environments: CAT 7A SFTP cables are designed to be durable and resistant to harsh environmental conditions, making them suitable for use in industrial environments such as factories and warehouses.
  • Audio/Video: CAT 7A SFTP cables are also used in high-end audio and video applications, since they can handle high frequency and high bandwidth signals, providing better signal integrity and less interference.
  • PoE (Power over Ethernet) : CAT 7A SFTP cables can also be used to transmit power and data over a single cable, which is known as Power over Ethernet (PoE). This allows devices such as IP cameras and wireless access points to be powered using the same cable that is used to transmit data, reducing the need for separate power cables.

It’s worth noting that these are not the only application for CAT 7A SFTP cables, but some examples that are commonly used. The exact application will depend on your specific needs and network requirements.

Maintenance and Storage

Proper maintenance and storage of CAT 7A SFTP data LAN cables can help to ensure that they continue to perform as expected over time. Here are some tips for maintaining and storing CAT 7A SFTP cables:

  • Avoid damage: CAT 7A SFTP cables are designed to be durable, but they can still be damaged if they are bent, twisted, or crushed. To avoid damage, be sure to handle the cables carefully during installation and use, and avoid running them over sharp edges or through tight spaces.
  • Keep cables organized: Proper cable management is important for maintaining the performance of CAT 7A SFTP cables. Keep the cables organized and tied together in a neat bundle, to avoid tangling and damage.
  • Clean the connectors: Keep the connectors of the cable clean and free of dust, this will ensure a good connection between the cable and the device.
  • Avoid over-tightening: When installing or connecting CAT 7A SFTP cables, be sure not to over-tighten the connectors. Over-tightening can cause damage to the connector or the cable itself.

-Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures: CAT 7A SFTP cables are designed to operate within a specific temperature range. Exposure to extreme temperatures can cause damage to the cable, so it is important to store the cables in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or other sources of heat.

-Storage: When not in use, store the cables in a clean, dry, and protected place. It is also recommended to keep the cable in its original packaging to prevent dust and dirt.

By following these tips, you can help to ensure that your CAT 7A SFTP cables continue to perform as expected over time.

Safety Instruction
