Enclosure Air Conditioners for Outdoor Telecom & Electrical Cabinets

Enclosure air conditioners keep sealed outdoor telecom and electrical cabinets within a controlled operating temperature when passive ventilation is not enough. UPCOM offers six cooling capacities from 500 W to 5700 W for field cabinets, communication systems and industrial enclosures.

Outdoor Enclosure Air Conditioner Range

The three most frequently specified capacities are 500 W, 1000 W and 1700 W. Higher-capacity models complete the range for projects with larger equipment heat loads or three-phase supply.

UP-AC-10001000 W230 VMedium telecom and network cabinets
UP-AC-17001700 W230 VHigher-density outdoor equipment

How to Select the Correct Cooling Capacity

Do not size an enclosure air conditioner from cabinet dimensions alone. Start with the heat dissipated by installed electronics, then add solar gain and the effect of peak ambient temperature. Include an engineering margin for future equipment additions and service conditions.

For a project quotation, send cabinet dimensions, estimated equipment heat load in watts, maximum ambient temperature, target internal temperature, available voltage and quantity.

Applications

  • Outdoor telecom and 5G equipment cabinets
  • Network and edge-computing enclosures
  • CCTV, traffic and security-system cabinets
  • Industrial control and automation panels
  • UPS and power-electronics enclosures

Enclosure Air Conditioner FAQ

What does L35/L35 cooling capacity mean?

It is the rated cooling capacity under a defined condition where both the enclosure-side and ambient-side air are measured at 35 °C. It provides a consistent basis for comparing models.

Why use an air conditioner instead of a fan?

A fan exchanges cabinet air with ambient air and cannot cool below outdoor temperature. A closed-loop air conditioner is used when the enclosure must remain sealed or when active temperature control is required.

Can the units connect to remote monitoring?

The range supports EtherNet/IP, ModBus TCP and ModBus RTU communication options for compatible monitoring and automation systems.

Need a Capacity Recommendation?

Send cabinet size, equipment heat load, ambient temperature, target internal temperature and quantity. UPCOM will match the application to the appropriate cooling capacity.
